NW Builder magazine changes name to BUILDERnews magazine

Vancouver, WA – Pacific NW Sales & Marketing, Inc., leading regional building trade publisher, announced that September '03 would see the debut issue of BUILDERnews magazine, successor to NW Builder magazine, published since 1999. Said D.C. Curry, BUILDERnews publisher, "This is a benchmark for our company; the name change is the result of our growing regional coverage and news format." Added Curry, "We have been, and will continue to be, the largest regional building trade publication in the nation."

BUILDERnews is sent to 25,000 established residential builders and developers within high-growth, Pacific Northwest markets including Oregon, Washington & Idaho. Editorial reports on the region's latest product innovations, business practices and market analyses, and gives in-depth perspectives on current issues that affect builders and their profits. With a documented average pass-along rate of 3.3, the magazine is read by more than 107,000 building pros each month. "We've found the right formula for our builders: regional news, strategic marketing and product innovations specific to where and how they build," says Curry.

The formula seems to be working. Due to reader demand, BUILDERnews will expand their news and market influence by extending distribution to include select, top builders in California, Arizona and Nevada in January '04.

Manufacturers, distributors and retailers are responding with enthusiasm, as well. Says Lynn Davis, national sales manager for Occidental Leather, Inc., "BUILDERnews has . brought to the table a new industry standard with cutting-edge information that enlightens, educates and enhances our industry." Dennis McWhirter of Exterior Wood, Inc. adds that BUILDERnews ".is the most in-depth publication throughout the region, [and] is one of our most effective marketing tools in reaching the construction trade professional."

Reporting on the West's "hot" building markets' news, influencing where and how "top" professionals develop, build and market their products, and educating the trade with new products that help save time or add profits is what will keep BUILDERnews at the forefront of the building trade communications industry for years to come.
